Michael J. Slocum is a global finance professional with over 20 years of experience, having completed over 60 transactions with an aggregate value of more than $8 billion. He has expertise in both principal investments and investment banking advisory services, including global mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity and debt capital raising and general strategic advisory. He focuses on middle market and emerging growth companies. He has significant international experience, including Europe, China and India.

From 2016 to present, Mr. Slocum has been Managing Partner and Founder of Bayfield Partners. Bayfield is a premier boutique investment bank serving emerging growth and middle market clients. The firm provides M&A and capital raising services to entrepreneur and family owned companies that prefer an extra level of personal attention. Bayfield services clients in all industries, including business services, consumer and retail, industrial, manufacturing, energy, gaming, healthcare services, technology and financial services.

From 2002 to 2016, Mr. Slocum served as Partner and Co-Founder of Callisto Partners LLC. Callisto Partners was a successful boutique investment bank serving emerging growth and middle market companies. The firm provided M&A and capital raising services to clients in the industrial, energy, gaming and healthcare industries. Transactions included buy-side and sell-side M&A, venture capital and private equity financing, and mezzanine, high yield and senior bank debt financing. Callisto Partners specialized in entrepreneur and family owned companies that require an extra level of personal attention.

From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Slocum was an investment banker at Prudential Securities, where he focused on middle market technology and business services clients. From 1992 to 1996, he was an auditor at Price Waterhouse. Mr. Slocum has an MBA in Finance and International Business from Columbia Business School in 1998 and a B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University in 1992. He is also a CPA.
Mr Slocum has served on the Board of Directors of Clearwater Management Company, a family investment company, from 2017 to present. Mr. Slocum served on the Board of Directors of Rock Island Company, a family investment company, from 2016 to 2022. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the Weyerhaeuser Family Foundation, and was Chairman of the Finance Committee, from 2013 to 2020. Mr. Slocum served on the Board of Directors of the West Palm Beach chapter of Autism Speaks from 2012 to 2014.
